Born in the gritty steel town of Hamilton Ontario and raised in the fields of Haldimand County, Jay Pollmann has intertwined the rural/ urban musical divide fusing folk, roots and blues into a sound he describes as ‘foot stompin’ rootsy blues.

With years of performing experience under his belt, Jay has honed a dynamic, original and energetic approach to his live shows whether it be on a festival stage or a house concert in your living room. Storytelling, slide guitar, harmonicas, foot stomping’ and some kick drum are what you can expect these days out of a Jay Pollmann show.

From small town Ontario to St. John’s Newfoundland and as far as Memphis Tennessee,  Jay is forging a path all his own forever chasing down that next great song and inspiration.
