Backyard Tea Forage

Backyard Tea Forage | Lead by: Caroline Jager

Enjoy a guided tour through wetland, meadow and plantation habitats as you learn about how to turn native plants responsibly foraged into teas. Learn about native pollinator plantings, and try a refreshing cold tea you can make from plants in your own back yard!

We will be walking through the woods, and enjoying all that nature has to offer us. Arrive prepared with weather appropriate clothing.

Yoga in the Woods

Yoga in the Woods | Lead by: Setera Harris

Soak in the energy of Mother Nature, and activate all senses while connecting to your breath, your heart and your Spirit through a channeled, guided outdoor yoga session.

Sustainable Families Workshop Series

‘Sustainable Families’ is a series of workshops designed to teach practical skills in self-sustainability. All events are also designed to intentionally bring your own family together, to learn and explore together, while building community with other like-minded families on a similar path.

We are SO excited to watch as new connections are sparked, and relationships formed throughout these workshops and events.

Most workshops will take place at Homegrown Hideaway, a glamping retreat and event venue, nestled between the Lynn River and Lynn Valley Trail near Port Dover, Ontario. Embracing the gifts of nature, owners Caroline and Jon have cultivated a sense of wonder and a feeling of calm on their property that is so special and rare.

But keep an eye out for “Community Spotlight” events taking place in other locations around Norfolk County, too!
