Bobby Banks has been a professional musician, guitarist, and singer-songwriter in Norfolk County for over 38 years, honing his craft since the age of 17 and playing music professionally by the age of 19. He specializes prominently in several styles of The Blues, but is very musically versatile, showing expertise in the genres of folk, soul, country, and rock, among others. Opening for major Blues acts including The Downchild Blues Band, Paul James, Jeff Healey, and James Cotton, his versatility as a performer has allowed him to participate in numerous musical projects over the years, and to provide accompaniment to several bands by playing harmonica, saxophone, electric lead, rhythm, and acoustic guitar throughout his musical career.

His daughter Amber is an acoustic guitarist and singer-songwriter, local to Norfolk County who has been practicing her craft from the age of 9. She has been posting cover videos on Facebook and YouTube since 2016, has performed at local venues and Festivals (The Simcoe Heritage Friendship Festival, The Waterford Old Town Hall, The Norfolk Tavern, Cornstock), and had the honor of opening for Grammy-nominated band Professor Louie and the Crowmatix at a benefit concert for the Music Department of Valley Heights Secondary School!
Inspired by Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, The Band, Van Morrison, and Don Mclean, among others, her style can be described primarily as “acoustic folk”, although she also draws heavily from the influences of Soul, Blues, Classic Rock, Doo-Wop, and Country genres as well.

Their debut show promises to combine Bobby’s expert storytelling, wicked Blues playing, and extensive repertoire, with Amber’s dynamic vocals, acoustic finger-picking, and emotional evocation.
